Awards

2002 Computerworld's 21st Century Achievement Awards (category: in Environment, Energy and Agriculture) for Hands on the Land, nominated by Macromedia Corporation.

In 2002, the Wilderness Technology Alliance with the support of Interactive Earth's education and technology services received a Golden Apple Award for educational excellence from Washington's Governor Gary Locke.

In 2001, the Hands on the Land project was inducted into the Smithsonian Institution in Washington DC for the historic use of technology in environmental education.
